Our Last Day

I'm sad that today is our last day of Spring Break Vacation. Boo! We've had such a wonderful, relaxing time here and will miss GG and Grandpa as we head back north tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to wearing coats and long sleeves either. Today was in the 80's and I'm pretty sure I have a little sun on my face :)

There is something just magical about being around family, isn't there? I know that not many people are as lucky as our family and actually get along with all of their family members. I'm so blessed and do NOT take it for granted. I just wish that at least some of them lived a little closer to us. It's hard to only see them a couple times a year. I am thankful that we all will travel and make an effort to visit each other though. I desperately want my children to grow up knowing their grandparents and aunts and uncles. I want them to know their stories and have a great love for them in their hearts. I'm so thankful that though we are hundred's of miles away from most of them Luke and Evelyn can name them when they see their picture and want to pray for them when they go to bed at night. Family is so important and I don't want to just let life slip by in our busy pace and miss out on God's amazing gifts to us- family.

Ok, enough sappiness! I've got packing to start and a nice nap in the sun is calling my name. Now only if there was a hammock...

The Beach in March? Yes, please!

This is the same beach we spent a week at last August with my family (well, a few miles away). The kids were SO excited to go back here and play in the sand. It didn't matter that the wind and water were chilly. It was a beautiful "warm" day and there were shells to be found and sand to be dug. They rolled up their pants, took off their shoes and off they went. Luke even let the water catch his ankles. No one else was so daring. They had a blast! We plan to spend tomorrow here as well. It's supposed to be 80* and sunny. That's summer weather for us!

Sorry for the bad cell phone pics. I *gasp* left our camera at home. This would never happen to anyone else in my family. I guess I am the middle child though. At least I took pics though, right A?

Hello little one!

We had another ultrasound today. I hadn't really told many people, but baby had a choroid plexus cyst when we had the last ultrasound done and this could be a marker that something is "wrong" with baby. It turned out that the cyst is gone now and there were and are no other markers to cause concern. Shew! What an answer to many prayers!

It's been 6 weeks since our last u/s and 4 weeks since we found out about the cyst. It's been an emotional roller coaster for sure, but God has really been teaching me things about myself during this time. I'm a worrier. I put everything inside and just think, think, think until it takes over my world. I somehow think that if I can think about every angle then it will somehow make it all better or easier to handle. Well, this time God revealed to me that this isn't how it's supposed to be. There's nothing my worrying would change. There's absolutely nothing that I could do to change anything. God really is in control and though I already love this baby beyond words (or tears), God loves this baby even more. Ok, God. No matter what the outcome is I know that You are there and will be our strength and support through it. No matter the outcome (yeah, I said it twice. It took me saying that many more times to actually get it in my head and heart).

So, today we were blessed by seeing our little one again. He/she is growing so much. I loved seeing baby move around and stick out it's tongue. So amazing! We are so thankful that baby looks healthy, but we know there's never a guarantee. It really is all about trusting God every day for everything. I will never have control. Yes, that's still hard to say and even harder to actually live, but it's so true. This little one is in God's hands and for that I am truly thankful.

Trouble, I tell you!

Yesterday I was sitting at the table getting some emails done and I hear, "Cheessssse!". I look over to see this-

I look at them with a smile on my face and ask, "Do you want me to take your picture?". "Yes, Mommy!" they both answered simultaniously. So they had to sit there for a minute while I ran and got the camera out and of course had to find the card for it (why do I never remember to put it back in the camera?). The whole time they just sat there and said, "Cheesssse!" Ah, crazy babies!

Life is busy.

I haven't posted in a while. Obviously, huh? Life has just been busy and I haven't felt like writing for some reason. We're all just getting over a cold and trying to get back into the swing of life. I'd love to say that my days are so full of crazy activities and outings that I have no time to post, but to be honest it's just every day stuff. I'm desperately trying to keep our house clean and somewhat company ready (not an easy task with 2 hurricanes and a dog that never stops shedding going through the house daily).

Anyway, just wanted you to all know that we're still alive and doing well. I'm 24 weeks along now and feeling ok. I'm still very scared about having 3 children that I'm responsible for, but I think the nerves will only calm down when baby gets here and I see that it is in fact doable. We're about to have spring break, and we are very much looking forward to it! I'm also getting a laptop in the mail so hopefully they'll be more pictures on here.

So, life is good. God is extremely faithful and forgiving! Be back soon.
