Photo Shoot

Today I had an impromptu photo shoot with Luke. The lighting was great, so I grabbed a sheet and started snapping. This is what came of it:

This isn't the greatest picture of Luke, but I just had to post it because S was being so cute and sweet to Luke. He is so loving and kind. Thanks for a fun afternoon G!!!


Luke's footprints: the one on the right is at 3 months old and the one on the left is at a year. It's amazing how much he's grown!


Our great finds at Ikea. He loves crawling through the tube and playing with the cups. And no, he didn't stack them. He just likes to knock them over.


And last but not least, I took this yesterday when he finally learned how to use his spoon by himself. He only did it a couple times, but we're on the right track. A few times he would forget to put the food on the spoon and instead just put the food right into his mouth. He would then look at the spoon and you could see the lightbulb go on when he remember that it was supposed to go on it first. So, he would take the food back out of his mouth and put it on the spoon and put it all in his mouth again. I just laughed at him the whole time. The kid just cracks me up!

Busy life

Sorry I haven't posted lately. It's been busy around here. On Friday we decided to head to Ikea to look for a book shelf for Luke's room. I needed more space to organize everything. Then on Saturday we cleaned around here, brought some of our kitchen stuff up from the depths of despair and played with Luke. On Sunday, we had church, small group and everything in between. Then today Luke and I went to Toledo to visit some friends. Shew! It's been busy! I look forward to a slower day tomorrow. Maybe then I can have a moment to really post and maybe add some pictures too!

Friends

Luke and I had the best time last night visiting Auntie, Uncle Tim and lots of friends. I miss being around all of them all the time. We ate dinner together and just laughed and talked. What a great night! Here are some pics of everyone.

One year ago today...

Luke came into this world. I can't believe it's been a year already. Where did time go? It's been such an amazing year of watching him grow and learn. He came to us as a little "beaker" baby who did nothing but eat, sleep, poop, make beaker noices and look at us with those amazing eyes. Now he can crawl, walk with support, say a few words, eat "real" food, throw the dog's ball, laugh at his daddy's silly faces, hug and give pats on the back, wave at everyone (even strangers as we're walking through stores), and smile a huge smile whenever he sees me. I love being his mom! I couldn't imagine my life without him in it. He's such a blessing from God. Thank you to all of our family and friends who have been there with us through the ups and downs and supported us the whole time. We love you! Happy Birthday little man! Mama and Dada love you!!
