Sorry I haven't posted in a very long time. We've been so busy around here lately. JD's finishing up the semester which always brings extra meetings and longer hours. Luke is getting his molars in and has turned into a fussy, whiny toddler. I do feel bad for him though because I know he's in pain. And I've been busy with motherhood and keeping up with everything around me! I don't like when it gets this busy, but this seems to happen at the end of every semester. At least we are about to get a few months "off".
JD's preparing to go to Italy with a group of students. It's technically work, but he's excited to travel again. Luke and I are going to visit my family and friends in MD (and maybe JD's brother and his wife) while he's away. I couldn't stand the thought of being home alone for 10 days! We also are traveling to Germany at the end of June. We're very excited about that. Well, I should say we're excited to be there. We're not so excited about the flight and jet lag with a toddler. I'm sure that will give us lots of stories. Anyway, that's us in a nutshell right now. Busy, but still enjoying life. I hope to get outside to take more pictures soon. There's a chance of snow tonight so it may be a few days before that's possible. Oh the joys of living in MI!

Shoes
Why is it that companies don't make very many little boy shoes? Seriously! I've been on the hunt for some shoes for Luke to wear now because he's outgrown the ones he has and it's still too cold for his already bought summer shoes. On every site and in every store there is 1 pair of boy's shoes to every 10 pairs of girl's shoes. Now I understand the need for cute little girl shoes, but come on! Boys need cute shoes too! Will someone please make a company that only sells cute little boy shoes for a reasonable price? We mother's of little boys will be extremely grateful!

Photoshoot
The other day was so beautiful that I decided it was time to go outside with Luke and Rome to take some pictures. It was the first day where it's been warm (well, almost 50) and sunny. Luke was great! He sat there nicely even though he wasn't in the mood to smile. Rome on the other hand was not into taking pictures. He was on the hunt for his balls, any critters and just plain exploring the yard. I think we need to work on teaching him how to stay! Anyway, here is a collage of the pictures I took. Hope you enjoy!

Movie Reviews
Lately JD and I have been enjoying our Netflix to the extent. When it arrives in the mail we anxiously wait until Luke goes to sleep at night and put in a movie to watch together. It's a perfect ending to a crazy day. The last 2 movies that we've watched have been wonderful. Both were more girly type movies, but JD has surprisily said that he's liked both. Maybe one more than the other. Anyway, here are the movies that have taken up our nights:
Enchanted
Dan in Real Life
These are great clean movies that will make you laugh and are generally just fun to watch. I know what you're thinking- Enchanted? Really? But try it. You might just like it!
